Project Foundation
This project brings together Climb Together and your campus to build students' social capital—the professional networks and relationships that help them access jobs and economic opportunity. The initiative uses Goldi, an AI-powered coaching tool, and the Social Capital Curriculum to help students practice authentic networking and communication skills.
The project kicked off in winter 2026. We are building awareness through Spring, 2027.
The Social Capital Curriculum and Goldi platform are grounded in evidence from:

Modules have been tested across community college and workforce pilots, producing consistent gains in confidence, storytelling, and help-seeking behaviors.

Across all early pilots, over 1,000 learners have engaged with Goldi. About 20–25% completed all 12 modules, while most others completed several conversations and still demonstrated significant growth in confidence and networking behavior.
Campus Implementation Guide
Our campus will select one or more implementation paths based on local priorities:

Track A: Faculty Champions – embed Goldi in credit-bearing courses

Track B: Structured Programs – integrate Goldi in FYE, internship, or co-op programs

Track C: Student Success Pilots – short-term pilots through Career Services or Advising

Track D: Academic Affairs Integration – plan for campus-wide or multi-department rollout

Track E: Design your own implementation pathways
Implementation can include multiple pathways at a time and will be customized with campus partners alongside guidance from your campus's Goldi leadership liaison.

Goldi is designed in a modular fashion and can be introduced to learners to enhance knowledge, skills and their mindset about the importance of social capital. The amount of time needed to implement Goldi depends on the objectives the faculty or administrator has for the learners. An introductory segment can take 60 - 90 minutes, while work to develop skills to answer the all important question "Tell me about yourself," takes practice and will take longer including homework hours. Each module takes approximately 15 - 30 minutes to complete. It is recommended that practice time is assigned for homework.
Climb Together supplies interested faculty members and administrative staff with sample learning objectives, lesson plans, templates and activities to make implementation as easy as possible.
Early pilots offer valuable lessons:

LaGuardia Community College: Requires faculty and or campus administrative partners to build it into coursework or student programs

Merit America: Paired Goldi with human coaching—produced major mindset shifts and strong engagement.

WGU: Quick pilot via Career Services—easy to launch but voluntary participation limited completion.
What worked: required participation, faculty champions, and integration with existing programs.
What didn't: purely voluntary sign-ups or unclear faculty guidance.

Climb Together: Manages and designs upcoming Goldi content and architecture, access, technology, dashboards, and training. Provides implementation coaching, faculty engagement support, and evaluation coordination.
Campus: Identifies faculty and administrative champions, coordinates student access, and ensures collection of evaluation data.
Measuring Impact
The project will be tracking two basic measurements:

Number of student users engaged across your campus in one year

Three networking conversations per learner (one strong tie and two weak ties)
Supporting measures include student mindset and confidence gains, faculty participation, and evidence of program adoption.

Evaluation focuses on three levels:

Learner outcomes: confidence, skill development, and real-world networking behavior

Institutional outcomes: faculty trained, programs using Goldi, total student reach

System-level learning: replicable implementation models for other colleges
Regarding evaluation, Climb Together leads implementation support, manages data collection through the Goldi platform and provides evaluation tools. Campuses contribute through participation records, brief surveys, and faculty or student feedback sessions.
